Each case has a To DoTo Do The list on a case of things waiting for you, such as forms to fill in, documents to sign or events to confirm. list of what your law firm is waiting for from you, soonest due first. It's kept up to date as you go.
Open your case
On your portal's home page, tap your case. On a computer, To Do is on the right. On a phone, tap the menu button at the top left, then the To Do tab.
While you have something to do, the case's feed also shows how many items are waiting, with View to go to the list.
Read the list
Each item shows what kind it is, its title, when it's due and who it's from. On a computer, a dot marks one you haven't opened yet.
Start an item
Choose Open Task. On a phone the button says what it does, such as Fill The Form or View Invoice. Each item opens where you complete it:
- A form: see Fill in a form.
- A document to sign: see Sign a document.
- An appointment: see Respond to an appointment invitation.
- An invoice: see Pay an invoice.
- A task: see Complete a task from your law firm.
What happens next
An item leaves the list once you've done it: submitted the form, signed the document, answered the appointment, paid the invoice, or marked the task Done. When nothing is left, the list says "You did all the tasks. Great job!"
Some items repeat, such as a weekly check-in form. They come back each time they're due. If you have more than one case, each has its own list.
If something goes wrong
- Open Task is greyed out, with "Case closed". Your law firm has closed the case, so nothing more can be done on it. Contact your law firm if you have a question.
Your law firm may have changed what you can do in the portal. If an option described here is missing, ask your firm.
