Fix a sign-in code that doesn't work
What to do when your code doesn't arrive, says it's incorrect, or you've been asked to wait before getting another.

Your sign-in code doesn't arrive, or the code screen says one of these:
- "Incorrect code. Please try again."
- "A code was sent moments ago. Please wait before requesting another."
- "Too many incorrect codes. Please wait 15 minutes, then request a new code."
Why it happens
- The code goes to the email address or phone number you typed. An email can take up to 2 minutes, and may land in spam or promotions. It says One-Time Pin after your law firm's name.
- A code works for 10 minutes, and only the newest one works: asking for another replaces it.
- A new code can be sent once a minute.
- After five wrong codes, signing in is locked for 15 minutes. Until then every code is refused, even a right one, and no new code is sent.
How to fix it
- No code arrived. Wait 2 minutes, then look in spam or promotions for One-Time Pin. Check you typed the email address or number your law firm has for you. Then choose Resend Code.
- "Incorrect code. Please try again." Type the code from your newest email or text. If it's more than 10 minutes old, choose Resend Code and use the new one.
- "A code was sent moments ago. Please wait before requesting another." Wait a minute. Resend Code counts down the seconds until you can ask again.
- "Too many incorrect codes. Please wait 15 minutes, then request a new code." Wait 15 minutes, then choose Resend Code. The new code gives you five more tries.
