A hubHub Your law firm's own client portal, with its branding, its team and all of its cases in one place. is your firm's own client portal: your cases, team and clients in one place, under your firm's name and colors. Your firm runs it from the Admin PanelAdmin Panel The staff-only side of a hub, opened with the Admin button, where the firm manages cases, users, templates, automations and settings., and everyone works on cases in the portal.

How it works

The portal opens in the LobbyLobby The home screen of the portal, showing your cases, announcements, inquiries and the firm's office locations., with Cases, Announcements, Inquiries and Locations. Everyone, Admins included, sees only the cases they're on. Clients see only the portal.

The Admin Panel shows every case in the hub, under Home, Cases, Users, Payments, Library, Automation, Integration and Settings. Only Admins and Managers can open it, with Admin at the top of the page; Lobby takes them back.

Cases each have a page with sections such as Feed, Forms, E-signs, Tasks and Info. An Admin can switch sections off in Settings › Modules. By default, clients don't see Notes.

People each have a user typeUser type Whether a hub member is an Admin, a Manager or a User; Admins and Managers can open Admin.: Admin, Manager or User. Admins and Managers open the Admin Panel; clients and staff who only work on cases are Users. On each case, a person also has a roleRole A set of permissions that decides what someone can see and do on a case, such as staff or clients., such as staff or clients, which decides what they can do there. See Understand user types and roles.

The Virtual AssistantVirtual Assistant An automated team member that posts welcome messages, check-ins and stage updates for the firm; its posts carry a Virtual Assistant badge. is on every case and posts your automated messages.

Your accountAccount Your single sign-in, which can belong to several hubs and holds your profile and notification choices. is one sign-in for every hub you belong to. The Hubs page lists them.

When to use it

Use the Admin Panel to set up the hub and work across all cases: people, templates, automations and settings. Use the portal for work on a case: updates, forms, documents to sign and messages. A new firm can start with Set up your hub in your first week.

Your firm may have changed what each role can do on a case. If an option described here is missing, ask an Admin of your hub.
