Everyone on a case sees each update on its feedFeed The timeline of updates on a case, where the firm posts news and everyone on the case can comment. unless you limit it. Limit an update to some rolesRole A set of permissions that decides what someone can see and do on a case, such as staff or clients., such as staff, to keep it from your client.
Write your update
On the case's Feed, write your update as usual. See Post a case update.
Untick who shouldn't see it
Open the box beside Post. It reads Everybody can see while every role is ticked. Untick each role that shouldn't see the update, such as Clients. The box then lists the roles you kept. All ticks or unticks every role at once; keep at least one ticked.
Post it
Choose Post.
To change who can see an update you posted, choose ⋯ on it, then Edit. Change the box and choose Save. Only the update's author can.
What happens next
Only people with the roles you ticked see the update and its comments, and only they're notified, even if you mention someone else. You always see your own updates, and so does anyone whose role moderates the feed, as staff does by default. The update doesn't show who can see it, except in Edit.
Your firm may have changed what each role can do on a case. If an option described here is missing, ask an Admin of your hub.
