Disable someone to block them from your hubHub Your law firm's own client portal, with its branding, its team and all of its cases in one place., such as when they leave your firm or a matter ends. Nothing they've done is lost, and you can re-enable them at any time. You can't delete someone from your hub. Admins and Managers can disable or re-enable people.

  1. Find them in Users

Open Users on Active. To find someone, type their name, email address or phone number into Search users....

  2. Turn off their switch

Turn off the switch in their row's Status column. They move to the Disabled tab.

Admins can't be disabled: their switch is greyed out. Make them a Manager first. See Give a team member access to the Admin Panel.

  3. Re-enable them later

On Disabled, turn their switch back on. They move back to Active.

You can also change User Status under Settings in their Edit User window.

What happens next

  • They're told by email, or by text if they have only a phone number, in their own language, that your firm has disabled their access. The email asks them to contact you with any questions. Re-enabling tells them their access is back.
  • While disabled, they can't open your hub. They see "Your account has been disabled by an administrator". Their other hubs aren't affected.
  • They stay on their cases, and everything they posted, filled in or signed stays. They get no emails, texts or notifications about your hub's cases.
  • Nobody can add them to a case, and your Assign Cases rules skip them, until you re-enable them.
