Check how far a document sent for e-signatureE-sign A document sent for electronic signature, signed in the browser. has got, and keep the signed copy once everyone has signed. You're emailed each time someone signs one you sent.
Find the document
On the case, open E-signs and choose All E-signs. Submissions shows how many have signed each document, such as 1 of 2.
If your role doesn't moderate e-signs, the tab is Your E-signs, with the documents you sent.
Open it
Choose the count under Submissions. The document opens in a new tab with every signature so far.
Check each signature
Choose Details beside a signature to see who signed, when, and the IP address they signed from. Once everyone has signed, the signed copy lists its signers above the document instead: choose Show details to see each one's name, the time they signed and their IP address.
Keep the signed copy
Once everyone has signed, a locked copy is made, usually within a few moments, and opens here instead. Use the download or print button in its toolbar to keep it.
What happens next
When the signed copy is ready, you and every signer get Signed Copy Ready by email, or a text if they have only a phone number. Its link opens the signed copy after sign-in; the PDF isn't attached. For a document one of your welcome rules sent, its signers and the staff on the case get it, and the staff are also emailed each signature.
If something goes wrong
- "The archived PDF could not be created. This view is showing the interactive document instead." The locked copy failed. It's tried again by itself; check back later.
- The count never reaches the total. Someone hasn't signed yet. Their To Do shows the document until they do.
Your firm may have changed what each role can do on a case. If an option described here is missing, ask an Admin of your hub.
