How CaseActive Compares

There are three kinds of product in this market: engagement add-ons that sit on top of your case management system, case management systems that include a portal, and CaseActive. Here is what each one actually does.

Sources: vendor pricing and feature pages, July 2026, plus published third-party pricing analyses for tiers that vendors quote rather than publish. Case Status and Hona do not publish pricing. Clio publishes its EasyStart tier only. Figures for quoted tiers are third-party estimates and are marked as such. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

The per-user problem

Every case management system on this page charges per user, which means the cost of putting your whole team in the tool rises with every paralegal and intake clerk you add. That is backwards for client communication, where you want more of your staff in the system, not fewer.

The comparison is not exact, because a case management system does things CaseActive does not. But for the client-facing half of the practice, which is the half your clients judge you on, the pricing models are not close.

Monthly cost example

Ten staff on Clio Essentials

$790–$890 / miesiąc

15 seats on CaseActive Wzrost

$349 / miesiąc

What we don't do yet

A useful comparison should make the disadvantages visible too.

Not Built Yet

  1. 01

No native mobile app. Case Status has one and clients rate it highly. Our portal runs in the browser with a login that lasts 30 days, which means no install and no app-store friction. A native app is on our roadmap.

  2. 02

No review or referral engine yet. Case Status and Hona both generate reviews and run NPS surveys. It is on our roadmap and it is not built.

  3. 03

No prebuilt case management integrations yet. Connecting to Filevine, Clio, or anything else runs through our API and webhooks today. Prebuilt syncs are on our roadmap, and if you tell us which system your firm runs we will build it for you.

  4. 04

Translation stops at updates and notifications. Forms and e-sign documents are not translated yet. It is on our roadmap.

By Design

  1. 05

We are not a case management system. If you need conflict checks, trust accounting, or time and billing, you still need one. We do not replace it, we sit in front of it and handle everything your client sees.
